Who I Am in Spirit and Heart
Who I Am in Spirit and Heart
Dedicated to my family — with all my love:
David, Shelli, Dallas, Dakota, David Scott, Joanna, and in loving memory of Micheal.
You are my heart, my purpose, and my greatest blessing.
Faith has always been my anchor. Through every season the quiet moments, the uncertain ones, and the joyful ones I trust that God’s hand is guiding me. His presence reminds me that I am never alone, that peace comes, through prayer, and that His plan unfolds exactly as it should. Each morning and night, I thank Him for His mercy, for protecting those I love, and for giving me the strength to keep going especially when the road feels long.
My husband David is my steadfast partner and source of strength. Together we’ve weathered-challenges, rebuilt, and found a deeper love in the quiet rhythm of life as our children grow.
My oldest daughter Shelli made me a mother before I even realized what that truly meant. Though she is not mine by blood, she has always been mine by heart. I’ve been blessed to help raise her since her early years. She taught me the real lessons of motherhood patience, forgiveness, and unconditional love. She was my first, and through her, I learned what it means to nurture, guide, and grow alongside a child.
My son Dallas, my oldest boy, gave me the gray hairs and the lessons in persistence. He’s intelligent and full of life the kind of soul that challenges you but also makes you proud beyond words. Through his trials and triumphs, I’ve seen him grow into a man of strength and resilience, and I couldn’t be prouder of the person he’s become.
Then there’s Dakota, with his big heart and gentle spirit. Though he can be stubborn at times, his compassionan perseverance shine through. Watching him navigate the world has shown me the beauty of patience and the power of love that sees beyond limits.
Finally, my triplets David Scott, Joanna (Jo), and Michael complete the circle.
Though Micheal passed shortly after birth, his life had deep purpose. He held on for 28 weeks and 1 day long enough to give his brother and sister the gift of life. His strength, though small in time, was infinite in meaning. I carry him in my heart always, knowing that he watches over us with God light.
David Scott, now serving proudly in the Army, fills my heart with gratitude and pride. His courage and determination reflect the strength that runs deep in our family.
Joanna, my daughter with the sweetest heart, has endured so much with grace and bravery. She has taught me faith, hope, and what it truly means to love without fear.
Through all of life’s changes, one truth remains: family is my heart, my purpose, and my prayer.
Serving others is where my soul feels most alive. Whether I’m helping a resident smile, organizing an activity at the nursing facility, or lending a hand to someone in need, I see each act as a way to live out God’s love.
It’s not just about caring for people it’s about bringing hope, joy, and dignity to every life I touch.
I’ve walked through storms that tested my faith and found that grace grows in hardship. I’ve seen healing in small moments, a laugh, a prayer, a sunrise after a long night.
My story is one of strength, not because life has been easy, but because God never let go.
Faith over fear.
Family first, always.
Service is love in action.
God’s timing, not mine.
Even in storms, I’ll find grace.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.” Psalm 28:7
